Call for Student Branch Activity Pitch Presentation

This call is devoted to M.Sc. Students and Young Professionals (post-Doc and young researchers within 15 years from the first degree – Bachelor), both IEEE and non-IEEE Members

“My research in 5 minute”

The competitors shall prepare a 5 minutes video: “My research in 5 minute” aimed at showing their research activity using slides, pictures, photos, graphics, lab demo, etc., to describe in a convincing and attractive way their research results and field of application.
The participants at the IEEE RTSI2021 will be able to vote their favourite video using a special application (i.e. Mentimeter https://www.mentimeter.com) on their smart phones or other device during the participation to the special SB track.

The competition will take place on Tuesday 7 SEPTEMBER starting from 6 pm using the zoom platform and the participation is free of charge. See programme schedule on the web page of the conference (https://rtsi2021.ieeesezioneitalia.it).

All competitors will receive a participation certificate, the best video will be awarded with a customized certificate. The winner will receive a € 100 prize.
 
Participants shall send an e-mail, whose object should be Video competition - name surname, to the IEEE Student Activities and Educational Committee Coordinator chair (e-mail: paomares@unina.it) no later than SEPTEMBER 3, 2021.
 
In the text of the e-mail the participant shall include the folloing info:
a) title of the video ;
b) name and affiliation of the author;
c) e-mail of the author

The deadline for the submission of the video is AUGUST 22 , 2021. The 5-minute MP4-format video should not exceed 100 MB.

"My SB in 5 minutes"

Student branch managers, or their delegates, can participate to another pitch called "My SB in 5 minutes". In which they show their activities, illustrate their organization, show their strategic plans and say how they intend to collaborate and cooperate with others Italian or foreign student branches.

All competitors will receive a participation certificate, the best video will be awarded with a customized certificate. The winner will receive a € 100 prize.

Deadlines and submission methods are the same of the “My research in 5 minute” contest. Particularly:

Participants shall send an e-mail, whose object should be Video competition - name surname, to the IEEE Student Activities and Educational Committee Coordinator (e-mail: paomares@unina.it) nolater than SEPTEMBER 3, 2021.

In the text of the e-mail the participant shall include the following info:

a) title of the video;

b) name and affiliation of the author;

c) e-mail of the author;

d) SB affiliation;

e) SB role.

All videos will be uploaded on tik tok, youtube and Instagram (depending on author permission) after the conference and in the space of IEEE Italy section devoted to.
